Physiotherapy in Oakville & Burlington

Providing “Quality Care” for all kinds of painful conditions has been the corner stone of the business since 1989. The practice has grown over the years to include Athletic Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Massage therapy.

Although many of the clients of the clinic are active individuals, we treat a wide variety of injuries found in all age groups and activity levels, from the high performance athlete to the weekend gardener to completely inactive individuals.

The clinic was originally opened as Oakville Athletic Therapy Centre, owned and operated by Marcia Franklin who was also the sole treating Athletic Therapist at that time.

Marcia’s career has been focused on professional development and service. She has been selected to 3 Canadian Olympic Medical Teams, and has volunteered at several international sporting events held locally and abroad to provide medical coverage to competing athletes. She has held volunteer positions with the Canadian Athletic Therapist’s Association, including positions on the Board of Directors at both provincial and national levels for over 9 years with terms as President and Ethics Committee Chairperson.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ATHLETIC THERAPY AND PHYSIOTHERAPY

As it relates to the treatment provided at Quality Care Sports Injury and Rehab, there is no difference between the treatments you will receive from either profession. The primary difference between the professions of Athletic Therapy and Physiotherapy is reflected in the training and the scope of practice.
